Mediation Update: School Board Approves Strike Preparation Resolution
On Wednesday, May 1, the Lakeville Area Schools Board of Education held an Emergency Meeting to approve a Strike Preparation Resolution. As a result of Education Minnesota-Lakeville¡¯s intent to strike notice, this step is necessary for the District to be prepared in the event a strike occurs.?

Review of Academic Core Resources in Math
In accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Minnesota¡¯s academic standards are reviewed and revised on a 10-year cycle with one content area of academic standards updated each year based on a schedule approved by the Minnesota legislature. As part of the elementary math standards review process, the District has been evaluating a number of potential district-wide core resources that will support the implementation of the new MN Academic Math Standards. Lakeville Area Schools Maintains Strong Graduation Rate; Initiates Comprehensive Support System to Further Enhance Support for Students
The Minnesota Department of Education released data on March 28 showing that the district's four-year graduation rate remained robust, at 93.7%, which is 10.4 percentage points above the state average. This represents an increase from the previous year's rate of 92.7%.
