Student Services and Special Education

  • Lakeville Area Schools is committed to fostering the success of all learners. We value all aspects of the student experience, including personal, social and academic development.

    Our Special Education department serves around 1,600 students age birth through 21 with a variety of disabilities. The department provides programming options for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional or Behavioral Disorders, Developmental Cognitive Delays, Early Childhood Special Education and more. We pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and on our efforts to provide programming based on the latest educational research. 

    Our Student Services department equips students, parents and school staff with the skills, tools and supports necessary to help students achieve personal success. Services include English-Learner services, mental health support, chemical health support, homeschooling and non-public schooling requests, and works with the district's school nurse teams. Click on the quick links below to learn more about some of the supports we provide to students and families.
