135 students from the Lakeville North High School and Lakeville South High School DECA teams competed at the 2024 Minnesota DECA State Career Development Conference in Minneapolis, March 10-12. Several students from both teams competed in finals, with 13 students earning top rankings and qualifying for the International Career Development Conference (ICDC).

At the state conference, students compete in events focused in the areas of entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, sales, and other related business fields. Events are designed to simulate real-world business scenarios and test students’ academic understanding and skills. Students’ skills are put to the ultimate test as they advance to the International Career Development Conference.
The 2024 International Career Development Conference will take place April 27-30 in Anaheim, California. Good luck to all those competing!
