Lakeville Area Schools is excited to have a monthly staff recognition program that highlights staff nominated by other employees! The superintendent meets each staff to present them with a recognition award and a gift card donated by the Lakeville Chamber of Commerce and Visit Lakeville.
May's Staff of the Month are:
Derrick Gaborski, 7th grade special education teacher, McGuire Middle School
Nominated by Dr. Joshua Alexander, principal at McGuire Middle School
“Mr. Gaborski brings a positive energy to our McGuire community every day. He makes a point to connect with our students and staff with a high five, fist bump or positive word/phrase. He works hard with his special education students, supporting them and challenging them to do their best in every subject.
Mr. Gaborski has been a ray of sunshine for our staff at MMS. He brings a positive attitude and outlook to our halls every day. Mr. Gaborski finds a way to socially and emotionally pick up his colleagues and support them.
Mr. Gaborski is the utmost professional during every interaction, every day. He is an incredible educator.”

“Anna is the STEM teacher at JFK Elementary School. She is a dedicated and enthusiastic educator who creates exciting science, technology, engineering and mathematics lessons daily. Anna has worked diligently to memorize EVERY students' name at JFK! She greets each child by calling their name with a smile (sometimes she even sings). Anna also promotes staff community building by producing a Team-of-the-Week email. AND, if that is not enough, she hosted a JFK Family STEM Night in January which included lessons on fossils, Native Americans, microscopes and so much more. Anna is an amazing educator, friend and leader at JFK Elementary and is well deserving of Lakeville's Staff of the Month recognition.”
