Students of the Month: June 2023

Lakeville Area Schools has a Students of the Month recognition program that highlights an elementary, middle school and high school student each month. Students are nominated by staff members. The superintendent meets each student to present them with a recognition award and a gift bag donated by the Lakeville Chamber of Commerce and Visit Lakeville.

June's Students of the Month are:

June Students of the Month: Colton Anselment, Nardos Zenebe, and Carter Klose

Colton Anselment, 1st Grade, Orchard Lake Elementary

Nominated by Ms. Kayla Marschall, Orchard Lake Special Education Paraprofessional

"Colton is always a model student and helping others. He is always doing his job and being an outstanding example to his peers! He is one that always reaches out to help anyone who needs it! He shows how to be Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Kind each and every day! Colton always works so hard and tries to do his best even if it’s hard. It is a pleasure working in a classroom with him!" said Ms. Kayla Marschall. 


Nardos Zenebe, 6th Grade, McGuire Middle School

Nominated by Ms. Krista Schlegel, McGuire Reading Specialist

“Nardos is the brightest light! She is so caring, thoughtful, funny, and works hard all day, every day. She always has a smile on her face and exudes joy filled with positivity. She makes everyone around her feel important and valued with her kindness and smile. Nardos is an excellent student, friend and human and we are so honored to have her in our classes on the 6th grade Wayfinder Team!!!” said Ms. Krista Schlegel.


Carter Klose, 10th Grade, Lakeville North High School

Nominated by Mr. Pablo Pimentel, Lakeville North Social Studies Teacher

"Carter deserves to be considered for the Student of the Month recognition, as Carter is absolutely amazing inside & outside the classroom! On a daily basis, Carter is courteous, responsible, determined, honest, and collaborative to his teachers and peers. Carter consistently demonstrates a positive attitude and leadership in the classroom, as he is always willing to participate and help his classmates learn!" said Mr. Pablo Pimentel.
