Job Requirements

• The Lifeguard is responsible for supervising the aquatics area to prevent accidents, assist swimmers, and respond to emergencies.   
• The Lifeguard will oversee multiple activities including open swim, swim lessons and private rentals.  
• Lifeguard is required to attend and complete all training and in-services, and expected to keep certifications current.

Position Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years old.
• Must hold current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or proof of Lifeguard class enrollment
• Previous experience with swimming desired.
• Ability to assist students in the water.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, co-workers and supervisor.
• Ability to follow directions and follow through on tasks.

Schedule

• 3-6 hours per day
• 3-12 hours per week

Job Description

• Maintain safety of students and pool area at all times.
• Know all pool policies and rules, inform students of the rules, and enforce them at all times.
• Be knowledgeable of the skills on the progression cards for each program level that you are teaching.
• Begin classes promptly being prepared with all equipment, and make use of the entire class time by leading activities.
• Be in the water to demonstrate skills and give students support and assistance with proper techniques.
• Use a positive approach to teaching; provide individual feedback as well as group feedback throughout the class.
• Complete mid-session reports and end reports for each student throughout the session.
• Provide a good model and directions to Water Safety Instructor Aides who are assisting your classes.
• Clean pool area between lessons and at the end of the lessons for the day. Return all supplies to the proper storage area.
• Follow all aquatics staff policies set forth by ISD #194.
• Be a positive role model for students by wearing appropriate attire when teaching.
• Be knowledgeable of all accident and emergency procedures, participate in emergency situations as needed.
• Complete accident reports and other forms as needed.
• Participate in-services as coordinated by the Aquatic Coordinator.
• Perform other related duties as requested by on-site supervisor.

Posittion Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Current American Red Cross Certification in W.S.I. (Water Safety Instructor) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching various levels of swimming lessons is preferred.
• Ability to express directions to students clearly and in a positive manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, co-workers and supervisor.
• Ability to be responsible, mature and demonstrate good common sense.
• Ability to follow directions and follow through on tasks.
• Be able and willing and able to teach preschool and parent-child classes.

A Facility Use Supervisor is the primary on-site point of contact for facility activities and events. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON: 
Opening and closing district fields, buildings, and/or spaces as scheduled for District-sponsored, Community Education programs, and non-District sponsored use.

Season Schedule:  
Days/Dates: Tuesdays/Thursdays, May 13, 2024 - March 17, 2025
Competitions are generally on Saturdays, with having 7-10 competition dates total throughout the season.
Hours: Practice will run for 2 hours in the evening, time TBD. 

Qualifications:  Cheerleading experience in either High School Cheer (competitive) or College
Strong communication skills
Good time management
Coaches must also be available to respond to questions in a timely manner
Must be high energy, enjoy working with high school aged students. 

Responsibilities: Prepare athletes for the current & college level by making sure proper technique is being taught and drilled for each skill.
Creative a positive, encouraging environment where athletes feel welcome and a part of a family of cheerleaders.

Lakeville Cheerleading strives to create a positive, safe and fun environment for student athletes to grow mentally and physically.  The Middle School/JV coach will work with new and returning athletes on general skills such as low level tumbling, jumps, stunts that are required for competition routines. This class is intended to help prepare current and new cheerleaders for the Fall Season.

Season Schedule:  Days/Dates: Tuesdays/Thursdays, late June- Feb 1 Hours: Practice runs for 2 hours  

Qualifications:  Cheerleading experience in either High School Cheer or College is a mustExperience in recreation and/or competitive cheerMust have a solid understanding of proper motion placements, general body positions, use of props (signs/poms/megs), and voicesExperience in basic tumbling and stunting is a mustExperience in higher level skills is preferredStrong communication skills requiredGood time management a mustCoaches must also be available to respond to questions in a timely manner 

Responsibilities: 

Lead and attend all practices and required events while arriving at least 20-30 minutes early to to help with mat set up/check ins/prep class (make sure space is practice ready)

Prep practice outlines for each class and season as a whole to ensure routine and skills are performance ready before major events

Work with other head coaches for practice and routine expectations/choreography

Communicate with parents as needed (in coordination with Community Ed coordinator and Program Lead) example: setting & posting itineraries  for competitions/events

Provide videos and routine material for athletes to practice at home with (mostly routine choreography)

Set expectations for assistant coaches for each practice (help spot here, run this rotation, etc.)

Building relationships with athletes and parentsRepresenting the program in a professional & respectful manner at all times

Coaching staff, athletes, parents, community members, district staff, etc.

Strong communication throughout the season in all areas

Providing constructive feedback to athletes during practicesFollowing safety and progression for all skills

 Season Schedule:  Days/Dates: Mondays, late July through December Hours: 5-6 pm (practice will run for one hour) 

Qualifications:  

Cheerleading experience in either High School Cheer or College is a must

Experience competitive cheer is preferred

Must have a solid understanding of proper motion placements, general body positions, use of props (signs/poms/megs), and voices

Experience in basic tumbling and stunting is a must

Strong communication skills required

Good time management a must

Position Description/Qualifications:
The purpose of this position is to plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the school’s philosophy, goals and objectives.
The preschool teacher must understand and promote education and early childhood development as defined in Small Wonders Policies and Procedures, Minnesota’s Early Childhood indicators of progress, National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation Standards, and Minnesota Parent Aware Standards. The preschool teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, evaluating and instructing child development/school readiness skills as assessed appropriate to the needs of the children enrolled in the program.
Maintain a cooperative attitude of working together with the assistant, volunteers, parents, and other program specialists in planning and implementing activities
Set up and maintain a well-organized, safe, and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children.
Maintain primary responsibility for the lesson planning, environment, data collection and record keeping associated with highest quality developmental/educational programming for the students in his/her classroom.
Responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child enrolled
