Gymnastics

  • Gymnast on balance beam Lakeville Gymnastics is a three-component program to serve all of your gymnastics needs from beginner to high school. We’ve teamed up to offer this comprehensive program which gives continuity to the skills all gymnasts learn, preparing those who wish to go on to compete in advanced and high school levels. “Lakeville Gymnastics” starts with Lakeville Area Community Education Gymnastics for Beginners through Intermediates.

This program lays the foundation and builds the skills that your gymnast will use throughout their gymnastics experience. Whether participating for fun or with aspirations to compete someday, your child is sure to have a great experience. After the intermediate skills are mastered, students will then advance to the Lakeville Booster Club Feeder/Competitive program which will take your gymnast to the next level of gymnastics by sharpening skills and giving them the opportunity to compete in the Midwest Amateur Gymnastics Association (MAGA) program. The next step is the Lakeville South and North High School teams. This level gives Varsity and JV participants the opportunity to compete during season and practice during the off-season.

    Sensory Playground Gymnastics Program

    Ages 3-10

This gymnastics program is specialized for children with learning and sensory disabilities. Gymnastics provides near full body input –giving your child the ability to move in all planes (even upside down) allowing additional sources of input. Our adaptive program is structured to provide your child with both proprioceptive and vestibular input. Students will have the option to work on many apparatuses in the gym as they would like: rings, bars, beams, tumble track, floor and vault. We will also have a variety of sensory toys and games for your child to enjoy. A parent, guardian or other responsible adult is required to attend and assist the student at no fee. Only registered students are allowed to participate in the class.
