At Lakeville Online Academy, we’re focused on ensuring success for every child, so students make the most of their individual gifts and unique potential. We use curriculum designed for the online learning environment with expert Lakeville Area Schools online teachers. We offer full-time and part-time enrollment with two main instruction models: Synchronous- daily teacher interaction or Asynchronous- independent, flexible with support of licensed Lakeville Area Schools teachers.

LOA offers curriculum that is both challenging and engaging. In addition to accessing curriculum through the learning management system (LMS), lessons are supplemented with hands-on learning materials. Students will take classes in the four core areas: English, Math, Science and Social Studies, as well as participate in Physical Education/Health, Art, Music, and Spanish. Students in the secondary program will participate in rigorous courses in the four core areas: English, Math, Science and Social Studies, as well as a variety of elective areas. These courses are designed to prepare students to be independent learners, problem-solvers and critical thinkers and career and college ready after high school. High School Curriculum (grades 9-12)

High school students can reference the Program of Studies, which is a book that includes descriptions of all courses offered in each curricular area. Families and students are encouraged to review the Program of Studies to assist in registering for courses that interest students and that account for a student's completion of credits for graduation.
