Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to Century Middle School, where “It is a GREAT Day to be a PANTHER!”  We are committed to providing an excellent education that meets the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of our students. We will accomplish this by meeting students where they are and offering a wide variety of experiences to help them grow. Our mission is to inspire, educate, develop and guide all students. It is with your assistance that we will be able to accomplish this task.

Our staff utilizes various teaching techniques to guide our students to be STRONG. We are committed to helping students embody these qualities: Serve, Thankfulness, Respect, Organize, Navigate and Grow. We believe in teaching the whole child. This can only be done by fostering healthy relationships.

I believe as Malala Yousafzai said: “One child, one teacher, one book and one pen can change the world.”  We will work tirelessly to ensure all students feel safe and welcome. We will provide an atmosphere that is positive, caring and focused on learning, which are my top priorities. Their journey will be one that I truly hope they will enjoy and they will look forward to coming to CMS daily!

Parents, you play such an integral part of this journey. We ask that each day you take time to discuss the day your child had at school. Monitor assignment completion and help them prepare for projects and assessments.  We expect students to come to school each day with their minds and thoughts set for learning, to be ready for the aforementioned challenges that will await them at Century.

Let us all work together to make it a great school year. My door is open, ideas are welcomed, and I look forward to watching our students develop.
