Lakeville area students excel at the 2024 State Speech Tournament

Students from the Lakeville North High School and Lakeville South High School Speech teams achieved success at the 2024 Class AA State Speech Tournament, April 19-20 at Shakopee High School. 

The Lakeville North Speech team took 5th place overall as a team with four students medaling in finals. Congratulations to the following medalists:

  • Aaimah Khawaja (grade 12) - 1st place - Extemporaneous Speaking
  • Ankita Gurung (12) - 2nd place - Serious Interpretation of Poetry
  • Anna Branchini (12) - 4th place - Serious Interpretation of Poetry
  • Ella Raiche (12) - 6th place - Informative Speaking
