    Mission: The Lakeville North STEM Biomedical Science Program will provide students with opportunities to develop critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration, and communication for post-secondary and future readiness.?


    The STEM Biomedical Science Program at Lakeville North High School offers three courses that follow a proven, hands-on, real-world, problem-solving approach to learning. Students explore the concepts of human medicine and are introduced to topics such as physiology, genetics, microbiology and public health.

    Through activities like dissecting a heart, students play the role of biomedical professionals and examine the process, structures and interactions of the human body. Students will learn skills and techniques currently used in the fields of biomedical science.

    The program is part of , which has set the highest standards for rigorous, focused, and engaging study to develop students’ innovative, collaborative, cooperative, and problem-solving skills.
