All: Exciting News: Introducing Jamf Parent on All Student Devices!
We are thrilled to announce a significant enhancement to our technology resources that will empower you to have greater visibility and control over your child's digital learning experience. We have rolled out Jamf Parent across all student devices within Lakeville Area Schools.
Jamf Parent is a powerful tool designed to help you monitor and manage your child's device usage on your Android or iOS device, ensuring a safer and more productive digital environment. With Jamf Parent, you'll have access to features to manage your child's device while at home between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 am M-F and from 4:00 pm Friday through 6:00 am Monday (weekends).
Some of these features include;
1. **Screen Time Management:** Set limits on screen time and establish healthy usage habits for your child.
2. **App Restrictions:** Control which apps your child can access and ensure they are focused on educational content.
3. **Device Rules:** With Device Rules feature in Jamf Parent app, you can use it to schedule app restrictions along with which allowed websites on your child's device. This allows you to schedule homework time or bedtime.
4. **Remove Passcode** Remove the passcode a child has put on to lock their device.
We understand that navigating the digital landscape can be challenging, especially when it comes to ensuring the safety and well-being of our children online. With Jamf Parent, we aim to provide you with the tools and resources needed to support your child's digital journey effectively.
How to set up Jamf Parent on your iOS or Android device
As we deploy Jamf Parent to all student devices, we encourage you to familiarize yourself with its features and functionality. Our tech support team will be on hand to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have during the implementation process.

All: Child Development classes offer a preschool lab experience during the end of our semester. These students develop lesson plans and create activities to experience working with children and learn about the early childhood career pathway. We are looking for children ages 3-5 years old who would be interested in registering for the program starting April 22 and going through May 31st. Sessions run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:05-12:05 in our Child Development classroom here at LNHS. Please reach out to Alissa Petersen at for more information and registration. Parents: With the new semester it is important to know that teachers are only available until 3:15. Therefore, if your child is not under direct supervision of a teacher, coach or director, they need to leave the building at 3:15. If they are waiting for a ride at 3:15, they need to wait at the north entrance in the commons for pick up at the student doors. (Added 1/23/24)
