On Wednesday, May 1, the Lakeville Area Schools Board of Education held an Emergency Meeting to approve a Strike Preparation Resolution. As a result of Education Minnesota-Lakeville’s intent to strike notice, this step is necessary for the District to be prepared in the event a strike occurs. 

While the District remains hopeful that mediation will lead to an agreement, it is critical that the District has plans in place to support and guide students, families and staff should a strike occur. Our priority is to reach an agreement that supports our students, teachers, staff and school community, and avoids interrupted operations of our schools. 

The District will continue to provide updates on mediation progress and its preparations for a potential strike as this situation progresses.
